Kessler House - Charlotte, North Carolina
Built into a south-facing hillside, this house captures the view and incorporates
energy-saving features to utilize solar gain. The owners, who are craftspeople,
designed some of the features, such as an ornamental steel trellis, a range hood,
and custom tiles for the fireplace and counter tops.
The two-bedroom plan focuses on the central kitchen/living/dining area, where spaces are generous and the ceiling is high.
